You’ve begun a project, you’ve initiated, and now it is time to follow through. For some, follow through is a mystery or a myth. Let’s look at it differently.
Most everything you begin has many steps before you can release it. Sometimes, these steps require a little more time or research or extra bits before they can be integrated into the project. These additional steps are where you need to follow through. They can be forgotten – you forget to schedule that appointment or call, you forget to put it on your calendar, you forget. They can be rescheduled and pushed out further than necessary. Without the appropriate information being noted, they can be a ‘what was this all about?’ question and get struck off and deleted. Without planning, you can lose track of all the extras and your project and you will suffer for it.
All of these ‘extras’ cost time, energy, and money. Make sure they are essential. Make sure you note them appropriately in your timeline or calendar. Make sure you follow through and put what you find in its proper place so your project will begin to fruit. Follow through is required for most things. Cultivate it. Embrace it. Ask, every day, what you need to follow through on today so your tomorrows are brighter and more fulfilled.
It may seem itty-bitty and much to much. Consider the alternatives. Without follow through, the world would come to a grinding halt. Most processes thrive because of follow through. The follow through cast ripples that affect others in the supply chain of our genius. Resistance is futile. Get with the dance of follow through and make it part of you.
Grow some follow through. Go ahead and like and comment on this post. Follow through on the energy you have just spent reading it and receiving it. Give something back. Go ahead. I look forward to it!
