The word ‘initiate’ has more than one meaning:

  1. to cause something to begin;
  2. to teach someone about an area of knowledge, or to allow someone into a group by a special ceremony.

We are looking at the first meaning. There is more to it than on the surface. Let’s look a little deeper.

[To cause] [something] [to begin].

Be at cause. When you are response-able, you are in a state of being intentional in order to affect [something]. What will it be? A dream, project, playful endeavor? A person or thing? Whatever you decide, your intentional state affects it and creates impetus for it to shift [to begin] and become activated. Release it. The momentum will create ripples of space:time and will carry it to its conclusion. Once you have activated and released it, the outcome is out of your control.

This part of any process is commonly referred to as ‘taking action.’ It is a significant part of any process and it requires you to trust that you have made correct decisions and surrender your creation to the whims of the universe and whoever encounters it. Detach from it once you have activated it. Detach your thoughts and emotions from the outcome.

Your part is done. You have been inspired. You have been at cause. You have been intentional. You have initiated. You have created. The rest does not belong to you. Release it fully.

Doesn’t that feel marvelous? Now, begin again. You have been initiated into this universal cycle of creation. It is more than enough. Release it all with love.

  1. I love the detach part of this; we so often get too attached to specific outcomes after the inspiration strikes. Following the yellow brick road and seeing where things go is part of the fun!
