When you take steps in the direction of your dream, prepare for the tsunami. It contains overwhelm, questions, doubt, fear, and plenty of fine details for the things you need to do and the people you need to meet. It squeezes your identity and tosses you about, mixing you up until you no longer recognize who you are. It leaves you bruised and confused.
Prepare now. Prepare for it by knowing who you are. What is your identity? Who are you now? Who do you need to be in six months, one year, 3 years, 5 years… from now? Make a plan for your identity to shift and grow as you do.
Tsunamis rearrange the landscape. Be prepared. Plan your dream. Build a roadmap so you know the direction you are headed. Give yourself milestones to reach and allow yourself to build the infrastructure of your dream.
Tsunamis will carry you far from your desired path, if you allow it. Prepare for it. Look at your strengths and your weaknesses. Fine tune your strengths. Float your weaknesses. Wherever there is a hole in your construction, be sure to plug them. Are your finances in good shape? Are you in good shape? Is your health good? Is your emotional and mental health able to withstand a bit of a shake up, a wake up? Do you have firm foundations in your spiritual health?
Above all, every step of the way, before, during and after the tsunami – love yourself. Be gentle, compassionate, and caring for you. Feed your mind, body, and soul. Allow the energy of the universe to flow to and through you. Find time for silence and listen for the whispers of your inner wisdom. You are loved!
