Your only J-O-B is that of your inner work. It is the greatest project you will ever undertake. J-O-B is Joy of Being. When you become joy, there is nothing else that exists for you. Everything else disappears and you only know Joy.
What can you do to support this? Begin by mastering your emotions. Our emotions are the product of our thoughts in response to something else – a circumstance, a person, a thing. The thought is so quick and the emotion can be so huge that it overshadows everything else. Instead, step back. Stop. Become aware of the emotion. Breathe. Give yourself permission to ‘flip’ the emotion to something more neutral by allowing yourself to consider the opposite of what triggered it in the first place. Was it distressing? Make it ridiculous! Did it stir anger? Let it stir a resolve to peace instead. The ‘opposite emotion’ needs to be as great an energy as the initial emotion.
